| an emcee tells a crowd of hundreds to put their hand in the air. an armed robber steps into a bank and tells everyone to put their hands in the air. a christian minister gives his benediction while the congregation holds their hands in the air. i love the image of the happy buddah with his hands in the air. hands up if youre confused. define tomarrow.

is like a book. what defines the good from the bad is the way the story is expressed. using the right words to mean the right thing is equivalent to using the right objects for the right expression. each object tells a story through its visual derivation, posessing its own unique vocabulary that adds to the whole. these are rooted from the common associations of common objects. a good visual vocabulary is precise and elaborate and necessary for its effectiveness in a piece complementing the whole. |
